I recently purchased Elizabeth
Arden Prevage Clinical Lash and Brow Enhancing Serum after wearing a bout of
false individual eyelashes which caused damage to my natural lashes.
Beforehand, my lashes were long, full and luscious and were something I used to
really treasure having. The damage to my lashes was very noticeable to me and
made a real difference to the overall effect of my eye makeup. I bought this
with high expectations as the 4ml tube retails at £85, which without a doubt is
a giant price tag on anyone’s scale for just 4ml of product. I decided on this
product as the others I had previously tried stung my eyes when I applied them,
and that is something nobody wants to risk just for luscious lashes. The sales
assistant fired me with statistics about this “innovative” product.
Elizabeth Arden state
that: “it reveals visibility longer, fuller, more beautiful looking lashes in
as little as 2 weeks of daily use” and that it is: “One of the most anticipated
products of the year”.
The sales assistant
assured me that if I were to be committed to this product for the full two
weeks and applied every night on a makeup free upper and lower lash line then
I, would be among the 30 women in the 100% proven clinical trial that over the
two weeks seen improvement in the condition of their lashes. So that’s exactly
what I did.
I applied the lash serum
before my eye cream very evening and on the days I did not wear makeup I
applied it in the morning too (as advised by the Elizabeth Arden
representative). It was applied to the upper and lower lash line and I noticed
no stinging or adverse effects like I previously had done with other lash
serums. What I soon was to learn that a little goes a long way with this and
that 4mls would sure last me a perfectly viable time.
I photographed my
lashes before the treatment, after one week, and then after the second week,
however I unfortunately have lost the before and second weeks photograph –but as you can
see there is visible improvement after one week so I’m sure you can imagine the
effects after the two weeks. And for loosing the photos I understand that makes me a bad blogger - for that I apologize!
Both photos below taken after 1 weeks use:
The packaging is a thin
plastic silver tube with a small yellow applicator brush that is easy to use –
just as you would a liquid liner. It also comes with a black velvet drawstring
travel case which elegantly screams luxury all over the product.
So all in all, yes
this product certainly comes with a hefty price tag and at first you are not in
arms with products for your £85, and leave the store with a small silver box
the size of a stapler wondering if you really should have parted with all that
money. So did only time tell? Yes, after the two weeks of using this I am
utterly thrilled with the results and really could see the volume of my lashes
literally plumping before me. You just have to ask yourself what is the price
for naturally full long fluttering lashes. I personally think that it is worth
the money and have saved my pennies on buying mascara after mascara because now
I have fixed the problem at its source.
